1.<\/span> Quem é você, de onde vem e o que faz?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eu sou Fábio Schaffner, nascido em Bagé, na região da Campanha, filho do tenente Flávio e da professora Julieta, pai da Laura e da Helena, e marido da Juliana. Sou jornalista e tenho 50 anos de idade.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Por que escolheu o Jornalismo?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Por vocação, acredito. Sempre gostei muito de ler, devorava livros, revistas e jornais na infância e adolescência. Aos 14 anos, descobri o Jornalismo musical e fiquei fascinado por aquele universo. Meu sonho era viajar, assistir a shows de rock, entrevistar os músicos e escrever sobre bandas, discos e espetáculos. Curiosamente, talvez seja o tema sobre o qual menos escrevi em 29 anos de carreira.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Em setembro, você <\/strong>recebeu um reconhecimento no ‘II Prêmio Nacional de Jornalismo do Poder Judiciário’<\/strong><\/a>, que se soma a tantos outros que já conquistou. O que essas premiações significam?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Me sinto muito grato com os prêmios de Jornalismo. Considero um reconhecimento profissional e um estímulo. Mas eles não movem meu ofício. Procuro fazer reportagens que considero relevantes. Cubro muito o poder, então dedico um bom tempo a matérias sobre a Política e o Judiciário, mas estou sempre atrás de histórias interessantes Rio Grande afora, seja a de um ermitão que vive no meio do cânion, um rapaz que se veste como se estivesse na Inglaterra vitoriana ou de um serial killer. Meu foco é Jornalismo de impacto. Prêmios são uma consequência bem-vinda.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Você tem uma trajetória de mais de 20 anos em Zero Hora, somando as duas passagens. Quais momentos do seu trabalho foram mais desafiadores?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Puxa, creio que todos. Meu início foi desafiador, como correspondente no Interior. Depois, atuei em Brasília, em meio a crises políticas, escândalos de corrupção e o julgamento do Mensalão. Voltei ao jornal em meio à Lava Jato e ao <\/span>impeachment <\/span><\/em>da presidente Dilma Rousseff, que cobri <\/span>in loco<\/span><\/em>, bem como o julgamento, a prisão e a soltura do presidente Lula.<\/span><\/p>\n

Neste ano fiz um podcast true crime em seis episódios e foi muito desafiador. E no mês passado cobri em Brasília o julgamento do ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro, outro evento político inédito e que exigiu muita dedicação. Não sei qual será minha pauta amanhã, mas me sinto desafiado todos os dias por uma profissão surpreendente e apaixonante. Não à toa, ainda estou aqui.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Quais são os seus planos para daqui a cinco anos?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bah, não tenho a mínima ideia. Nunca fui bom em fazer planos. Espero estar embrenhado em algum confim desse Estado, de botas nos pés e bloco na mão, entrevistando pessoas que me ajudem a contar uma história entusiasmante, cujas primeiras frases sejam de um magnetismo capaz de atrair a atenção dos leitores do início ao fim.
