‘Plástico e o seu uso no pós-consumo’ e ‘Guia prático de soluções para o uso do plástico na indústria’ são os títulos dos dois e-books criados pela Polo Films para estimular o uso e o descarte responsáveis do material. As publicações, que estão disponíveis neste <\/span>link<\/span><\/a>, integram a política de comprometimento prático com a sustentabilidade da fábrica de Montenegro, no Rio Grande do Sul. <\/span><\/p>\n

O intuito é mostrar que é preciso conhecimento na etapa do pós-consumo. Os guias mostram que entre os desafios para promover a sustentabilidade está a dificuldade em divulgar informações relevantes, como, por exemplo, a coleta seletiva e a educação ambiental. Conforme o CEO da empresa, Antonio Jou, a intenção é destacar a importância da economia circular. “O primeiro e-book, ‘Plástico e o seu uso no pós-consumo’, é uma ação da Polo Films a fim de conscientizar parceiros e consumidores sobre a desmistificação do plástico e do uso adequado das embalagens”.<\/span><\/p>\n

O executivo é a favor da desconstrução da ideia de que o plástico é lixo. No entanto, sabe que, quando indevidamente descartado depois do uso, vira acúmulo de resíduos sólidos nos aterros, nos mares e dentro das cidades. “Por isso, na Polo Films, adotamos o modelo de Espiral Sustentável, no qual o que não tem mais utilidade precisa retornar à cadeia produtiva na forma de reutilização ou reciclagem”, explica.  <\/span><\/p>\n

Entre os destaques dos guias, está o fato de que o componente pode contribuir para a redução das emissões de carbono, quando usado e descartado corretamente. Além disso, colaborar na proteção e segurança de alimentos e demais produtos. Um exemplo citado é a redução do peso de aviões e carros produzidos com componentes plásticos, que provocam eficiência energética. Dessa forma, nas próximas décadas, aviões construídos 40% com o material poderão diminuir as emissões de CO2 em 50%, de acordo com um estudo feito pela PlasticsEurope em 2019. <\/span><\/p>\n
