As jornalistas Naira Hofmeister e Taís Seibt<\/strong><\/a>, do Filtro Fact-checking (www.pensamento.org<\/strong><\/a>), conduzirão um curso de extensão sobre verificação de discurso na Unisinos Porto Alegre neste sábado, 11. A oficina é voltada a estudantes de graduação, jornalistas e demais interessados em aprender sobre checagem de informações. ‘Introdução ao Fact-checking: como verificar informações’ será realizado, das 9h às 13h, na sede da instituição (avenida Nilo Peçanha, 1600, Boa Vista), na Capital. As inscrições devem ser feitas pelo link bit.ly\/unipoa1<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Taís observa que a checagem de informação é uma prática crescente no jornalismo contemporâneo e está ganhando destaque como ferramenta no combate às fake news, especialmente com a proximidade das eleições no Brasil. “O contexto exige que os cidadãos e, principalmente, os jornalistas se comprometam com a verificação dos discursos”, destaca e convida: “O curso é uma oportunidade para que todos possam conhecer melhor o método do fact-checking”. Ela e Naira farão parte<\/strong><\/a> do projeto nacional Truco Eleições 2018, da Agência Pública.<\/p>\n

O programa do curso contempla o histórico e o panorama da verificação de informação, linhas gerais de jornalismo de dados e Lei de Acesso à Informação, além da metodologia de verificação usada por iniciativas que seguem os protocolos da International Fact-checking Network (IFCN). Os participantes irão realizar uma prática de checagem a partir dessa introdução teórica.<\/p>\n

Fundado pelos jornalistas Tiago Lobo, Taís Seibt e Naira Hofmeister, o Filtro é o primeiro projeto de checagem de fatos com foco no Rio Grande do Sul. A iniciativa nasceu como braço da ONG de Jornalismo e Direitos Humanos Pensamento.org e está com uma vaquinha virtual (www.catarse.me\/filtro2018<\/strong><\/a>) em andamento para viabilizar o trabalho de verificação de discursos durante a campanha para o governo do Estado.
